Niacinamide Skincare Products

…

Niacinamide, also known as vitamin B3, is an effective ingredient that calms the appearance of redness-prone, irritated, and blemish-prone skin. It also helps reduce the appearance of pores, regulate oil, and visibly strengthen the skin barrier while working to minimise the appearance of visible hyperpigmentation. Our formulas with niacinamide, including serums, cleansers and creams, are expertly formulated for a balanced, radiant complexion.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you use niacinamide with retinol?

Yes, niacinamide and retinol are a powerhouse pairing. Niacinamide helps to reinforce the skin barrier, making it an ideal companion to retinol by supporting skin resilience and reducing the likelihood of sensitivity. You can use both in your routine; try niacinamide in the morning and retinol in the evening, or apply niacinamide first before your evening retinol step.

Medik8’s Intelligent Retinol formulations are designed to work in harmony with niacinamide-rich products, delivering visible results with minimal disruption.

Can you use hyaluronic acid and niacinamide together?

Yes, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide make an excellent pair and work beautifully when layered together. Hyaluronic acid draws moisture into the skin, while niacinamide helps strengthen the skin barrier and lock in hydration. When combined, they leave the complexion feeling plump, smooth and balanced.

Medik8’s Hydr8 B5 Intense delivers multi-weight hyaluronic acid for deep hydration, and can be easily layered with Clarity Peptides to amplify the benefits of niacinamide in your routine.

How to use niacinamide in your skincare routine?

Niacinamide is best applied to clean skin before moisturiser, typically in your morning routine for optimal pore-refining and oil-control benefits. Look for serums containing 5-10% niacinamide for effective results without irritation.

Medik8’s Clarity Peptides, enriched with 10% niacinamide, works to improve the appearance of dull, blemish-prone skin while calming and hydrating the complexion.

Does niacinamide help with acne?

Absolutely. Niacinamide is highly effective for acne-prone skin due to its ability to regulate sebum production and reduce inflammation. It helps prevent new breakouts while improving the appearance of existing blemishes and post-acne marks. The ingredient's anti-inflammatory properties also help calm irritated skin, making it ideal for those dealing with both active breakouts and sensitivity.

Is it okay to use niacinamide everyday?

Absolutely. Niacinamide is gentle, non-sensitising and suitable for daily use, even for sensitive skin. In fact, regular use can help maintain visible skin clarity, hydration and resilience over time.

Medik8 products like Clarity Peptides and Clarifying Foam are carefully formulated to deliver the benefits of niacinamide while supporting overall skin health, making them ideal for consistent, everyday use.
